Intro and First App

Hi Ladies! I'm finally de-lurking. ;) I am due 7/18 and am 6w2d today.  

MH and I just came back from our first app and I am totally bummed! I didn't have an ultrasound and the midwife said it was too early to hear a heartbeat. :(  I did have a pelvic exam and the midwife said my uterus was measuring right where it should be for 6 weeks. I had bloodwork done and we go back Dec 14th to hear the heartbeat.

 I guess we won't have an ultrasound until 12-13 weeks which is early Jan.  Anyone else in the same boat?!

    Welcome! and congrats on your BFP! My first apt was at 6w3d. No u/s at first appt. I had only pap and metting with OB. My first u/s was at 7w4d.

    I know it so hard to wait, But I promise its worth it. My 2nd prenatal appt is also Dec 14th

    Congratulations and welcome to the board!

    I had my first appt at 5w5d with an u/s - but no heartbeat at that point.  It is not very common to have early u/s - I just demanded it because I lost my last pregnancy and needed to be reassured everything was going okay.  I will have my next appt on the 30th at 7w4d.
