Toddlers: 12 - 24 Months

16 month Stats!

Natalie is a peanut:   18lbs, 28.75 inches tall, and a head circumference of 44.9cm.

Because she's so small and has now dropped off the charts, we have to fax in 3 days of food journaling (what she eats and how much).     She eats a TON!   It's unreal how much this kid can pack away....  The Dr. isn't worried, but is having us do this just to check and to rule out any problems.     He figures it's genetics (DH and I were both small children).

So, any other peanuts out there???

Re: 16 month Stats!

  • Both my kids are minis (for weight- they're both above average height)  :) DD didnt hit 18 lbs until she was about 20 months and didnt break 20 until several months after she turned 2 LOL! DS is bitty as well. We both have pretty small people in our families so it's not a stretch to assume that we could have small kids.

  • Yep!  Although ever since DD stopped nursing and started drinking whole milk she is gaining more weight.  She was in the 10th percentile her whole life and then at her 12 month appointment she was 25th percentile!  She is still a peanut tho at least everyone in the world likes to tell me that!

ETA: she was 19 lbs 9 oz and 30 in. at her 12 month appointment.

  • My (almost) 16 month old is 31 inches and 19 pounds even. So she is normal for height but 3rd percentile for weight.

  • Yep another peanut here!

    Glad I see others! :-)

    DD is 17lbs, 4oz, 28 1/4"

She got RSV at 3 1/2 months though, had severe relfux, which led to her aspirating into her lungs and now has lung issues (we do breathing treatments twice a day for 2 months now). She has a pedi, GI and Pulmonary Specialist that she sees each month.

DD has been through all types of test to make sure she is soaking in the nutrient of her food. They can easiest test your DD's poop (yeah it's not fun to collect that) to test it for fats, proteins or sugars! It's better than a blood test!

  • DS has the same stats and he's 16 months tomorrow. I don't know head circ though. DS has gained just over a lb in 6 months. He also eats a TON! Dr. said it's genetics since DH and I are both pretty small and were growing up. We haven't had to do anything yet.
