The big O and getting pregnant.....

So I have a question.... my girlfriend told me I have to have an orgasm during sex to have better chances at getting pregnant....

any truth to this???

Well, who are you having sex with when you are trying to get pregnant? I'm just being nosey here, but if it's you and your girlfriend, is she putting sperm in you somehow??

Orgasms are supposed to help pull the semen up to and past the cervix which helps increase your chance of pregnancy, but they aren't necessary if you are doing IUI or something like that.

ETA: I'm LOLing at myself if you mean "girlfriend" as in a girl who is a friend, not your partner. Maybe you need different wording so you don't confuse people like me who are still on their 1st cup of coffee

no silly.... im having sex with my husband and my friend told me about orgasms and sex!!! LOL
