Just curious - I have a fraternal twin brother but we are the only grand kids (both my mom's sister and Dad's sister weren't able to have kids -- not sure what that might say about fertility possibility).
I don't meet all that many twins so I was curious about the folks on this board.

Re: Anyone else a twin or have family history of multiples?
Twins don't really "run" in my family though my mom's brother was supposed to be a twin but his twin was stillborn.
MH's family, however, is CRAWLING with multiples. His dad is a twin, his mom's mother is a twin, his cousin has twins, and his uncle has triplets. All are fraternal.
I think it would be fun to have twins but tons of work. It's not something I hope for but I don't think I'd be upset if I found out we were having twins. Triplets might make me freak out though.
2/21/11: IVF #1 Begins and results in TWINS!
11/4/11: The twins are born at 36w4d!
11/5/11: We said goodbye to our sweet baby girl as she was born with multiple complications and a severe heart defect, Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome.
I have twin cousins (on my dad's side) and my dad's cousin has twin girls, although both are fraternal.
DH, on the other hand, was part of quintuplets. Only he and his brother (de facto twins?) survived as the other 3 passed away shortly after birth. MIL took Clomid for 5 days, but I'm pretty sure she wasn't monitored.
This. My mom is a fraternal twin and there are 3 sets on her mom's side.
