SMIL took me to my doc appt today (all is well) and we got back to the house and BSC MIL and dh's grandfather and grandmother are here. They were in my backyard waiting for us. We walked in an had some fast food bags because ds begged for a hamburger on the way home. We walked in and they said "did you anticipate us coming and brought us food? or we have to get our own?"
UM NO. we did not bring you food, you have been driving for 4 hours I would have thought you would have picked something up. You are more than welcome to fix yourself something or go get yourself your own food.
omg, they are driving me nuts already and its been like 5 minutes! BSC MIL was breaking up ds hamburger into tiny bites...um he's 2 not 6 months. I told her he can eat him himself and she was like "well he asked me to do it this way!" UM NO, he has never done that nor would he ask.
Then he was coughing (because he's sick) and she sticks her fingers in his mouth to scoop out the food and then proceeds to tell him to take small bites. UUUGGH!!!!!!!!!! I was like, get your fingers out of his mouth, he's not choking!!! Its ridiculous!!!! She is going to baby him and me like crazy. I'm going to lose my mind.
p.s the doctor said I could increase my activity slightly around the house since everything looks good so far...but I'm not telling them that. For all they know I need to stay in bed all weekend!!!!!!!!!!!

Good luck with that. I would hide away as much as possible...
omg...I would NOT be ok with my MIL sticking her fingers in my kid's mouth...unless he was actually choking.
Just hibernate until they are gone and then enjoy all the leftovers!

DUDE!! Bedresting moms should NOT have to host BSC inlaws!!! Isn't that written in WTEWYE?? I'm with PP and increase activity by kicking them out to the nearest hotel!
And you don't stick your fingers in a kid's mouth even if they are choking unless you have already performed the heimlich and you can see the piece of food in their mouth!! You can make them choke worse. OMG, I would have gone off on her telling her that unless she has a non-expired first aid and CPR card to keep her filthy paws OUT of my kids mouth. She made my blood pressure rocket just now and its not even my kid!
