F/U to my back pain/ Anyone ever take Pamelor(Nortriptyline)?

My neurologist appt was today and he put me on a low dose antidepressant Pamelor because it apparently can also be used to treat headaches, and back pain, and will help with my muscle spasms. He said its OK to use while TTC but that if I get pregnant he wants me to stop taking it immediately and come back in. I have a follow appt in 2 months which is the same time that we would be moving on in TTC treatments so that works out really well.
If anyone here has ever been on Pamelor what has your dr said about TTC/being pregnant? I am taking 10 mg pills. Also, how long did it take you to feel the effects? Thanks!

That was one of the drugs that I tried to help manage my migraine headaches (they are horrendous) and it didn't work for me for that...I had to start taking other meds (anti-seizure) but as soon as we started TTC all my doc's said to stop taking the drugs then because they were all class C drugs.
From what I remember, the dosage you're taking is a pretty light dosage...though I can't remember what I was taking at the time...
Yeah I have taken several migraine medications and nothing really helped. I am hoping it helps the other things even if it doesn't work for my headaches! Thanks for your response.
