Update on Rachel/Evan...

Evan's lumbar puncture came back 100% clear! His oxygen tube and IV have been removed, and his breathing is almost down to normal.

The pathology results from testing Rachel's placenta came back "scary high" which indicates that Evan's infection came from the placenta. I haven't had a chance to talk to her beyond just finding out that little bit, but I'll keep you posted when I have more info.

Oh, and the neonatologists are talking about Evan "maybe" coming home on Friday. Rachel and her DH and family are hoping for tomorrow, but Friday works too. :)
