A temp question

Can extra blankets and warmer pj's affect your temps? I am assuming that would be a yes since your body is warmer. 

I woke this morning and the first temp I took was 98.20. I felt that was a bit high so I took the covers off me and laid there for a minute, then took it again. The temp was then 97.90.

Would you go with the lower temp or the higher temp? TIA!
