Parenting after 35

I have officially lost my mind

Michael woke up at 2am starving.  I fed him and he was sleepy but wired.  Tim is the "Baby Whispherer".  He can get any fussy, sleepy baby to go to sleep.  (I do pimp him out.)  So he is rocking Michael and singing to him.  I go lay down so I do not distract Michael and keep him awake.  Now my brain is going with all the things I need to do tomorrow.  One of the things is clean the bathroom.  I have two men that live with me and I believe that they think that they are built like John Holmes.  So I get up and clean the bathroom at 2:30am.  But I feel better and could go back to sleep.

Re: I have officially lost my mind

  • LOL  Cleaning the bathrooms did cross my mind while in bed but didn't worry my enough to get up a clean.  I am leaving this job to my DH today.  We will have about 20 for dinner tomorrow so I am focused on the food.

  • LOL, that's something I would do, although I probably would just use Clorox wipes at that hour.

  • Wow I'm kinda glad we don't celebrate Thanksgiving as we're too busy working, my house is trashed and I don't care!

  • Too funny!  But that was probably the best thing.  I know that once my brain starts firing, I would have to get up and do "whatever" was bothering me too.  Otherwise, I would just toss and turn until it was time to get up.
