Just out of curiosity re: Cheri22
I know it's just for fun, but with all these ladies on the board getting readings by Cheri22, it has me wondering...
Does she ever get back to someone predicting IF, fertility treatments, etc. It seems like (from the posts I've read) that her predictions are always within the next month or two (whether it be conception or birth month). Does she just give the month or does she happen to give the year too?

It seemed like all the people who posted today about their readings got December or January for their conception or birth month. I'm not knocking it, just seemed a little interesting to me.

Im seeing alot of reference to this Cheri22...has she correctly predicted someones conception and thats why people are all over it?
This is exactly what I'm picking up on as well as that I don't recall anyone coming back saying that Cheri22 told them anything negative. Unfortunately IF and fertility treatments are in some of these ladies' futures and I think it's highly suspicious that this "psychic" hasn't predicted anything negative yet. I get that this is "just for fun" but I'd hate to see some chick getting rich by everyone sending her $10 for BS.
Me = lean PCOS;DH = poor morphology (3%)

Now back to the topic of Cheri22...I think it's one thing to go to a psychic with your DH or girlfriends for fun. But it's starting to infuriate me to think of this chick sitting at home getting rich by preying on our vulnerability/excitiement/hopefulness/insecurities (and every other emotion TTC related).
It really is just for fun and I've wondered why it's all round the same months too but you can't think too much into it! It's something that I did and I'm sure most ladies did for fun and have something to look forward too.
She doesn't ask you anything about your personality so unless shes a really great guesser I personally think it's pretty cool how she describes the both of you. And she says different things to people. Like I seen one where she mentioned they would love to read science-fiction like they do. Now if she would have said that to me then I know it would have been wrong Neither my MH nor I likes to read and science-fiction on top of that wouldn't have fit at all. And another one where she mentioned them playing soccer like their mom. That wouldn't have fit us either.
It was interesting to read and I was excited to get it. There are free predictions available too. They are a few months behind so that's probably why most of us paid $10. I'm way too impatient to wait that long.
soontobemrsdavis received a free prediction and her month was November and she found out that she was pregnant this month.

"I will need to know if this is a trying to conceive prediction or a pregnancy one and what pregnancy number you're working on. Please include any losses you might have experienced. A picture of yourself would be beneficial to your reading."
I am wondering if she asks anything else in her intial contact with you...
I'm a perpetual skeptic/cynic. I get doing this "for fun" and that's fine. I'd just hate to see anyone hang any real hopes on it. You can say it's "just for fun" all you want, but you wouldn't have asked for the reading if you weren't hoping her predictions would come true.
I'm also not all about getting into a debate with people who have done it. JMO!

My DH won't get his results until his appt with the Urologist in 12/3. That was the soonest they could get us in. Once we get the results from that we will start to get me scheduled. Scary but feels good at the same time.
I deff hope that it comes true but I won't get my heart broken if not. I've been trying for almost a year and it was broken a long time ago. She can guess when I'll be pregnant as good as a doctor can. Your body will do it when it's ready.
I just did it to see what she would say. I do hope it comes true but I'm not relying on it to be enough. Just something to look forward to and think about.
But like PP said I hope no one gets hurt in the process if it's not right!

As usual, MT has read my mind. I'm also thinking ... we're all (happy to) be here to pick up the pieces when people are crushed to see CD1, but I really DON'T want to have to console some poor TTGP-er whose CD1 lament includes the line, "Cheri22 said November was my month!!!!!! Wahhhhhhh!!!!"

Absolutely and I wouldn't be surprised...it would be great for business. I remember my days from theknot there was a photographer who would register under all these AEs to pimp himself out.
I think it is a scam, scam, SCAM and I can't believe how many people are paying $10 for this crap!

I wondered that too. The board I first saw it mentioned on was BOTB I believe and I went to check out her site and saw the free reading thing, I sent my email back in July. We weren't officially TTC yet so I guess that is why I was able to wait out the reading(I honestly had forgot all about it before she sent me an email).
I did a quick search of her name on boardreader back then and it seemed like people from several boards get predictions from her. Some were right some wrong. I was impressed with what she "saw" about sugar and how it seemed like she was compelled to elaborate even though my reading was a freebie and was only suppose to be month and sex. I hope she is right for those that are getting predictions or at least the readings make you smile and give you some hope.

Here We Go Again!!

I didnt give not did she ask for any info other than if we were TTC and any losses. I paid using Paypal so she actually didnt have my real name or my Bump s/n at all, so she couldnt have looked up information on me. What struck me was how accurate her description of a son was as someone who really was just like MH and I. She didnt say "he will be the perfect mix of your H and you", she simply described his personality which would be the perfect mix.
She said he would be an avid reader/ writer and would love sci fi books. He would love the Beatles, have longer hair, would be reserved but friendly and the kindof person who always wants to do the right thing.
I am a literature major and I read Sci Fi, but MH LOVES Sci Fi. We both love the Beatles and I have always thought longer hair looks great on guys. The reading I got was actually very long and detailed and this is just a synopsis, but to give you an idea of what was said.
In any case, I am not putting much stock into it. MH and I are TTA in March so December is ruled out as a birthmonth. That means if I dont get KU or get a BFP in December she will have been wrong (this year at least). And I dont have high hopes for December due to lots of traveling and preparing for MH to leave for several months.
As far as her being a hoax... Maybe. But like I said, I spend as much money on one drink on a Friday night... So what if she is getting rich off of it... Plenty of people get rich of a lot worse causes. I think if you just take it for what it is (something fun and not at all factual, which exactly what she says to do), then it's fine.
Don't worry, I wont be bi*ching at the end of Dec when I dont get a BFP because "cheri22 told me I would".

I'll be honest, all the Cheri22 stuff is driving me a little nuts. I just don't get it. I'll bet that, in addition to being on the boards, she does a little "research" on the side.
I hate that she is making major bucks by feeding off of people's hope and anxiety, and perpetuating an attitude that it is OK to scam people as long as it's "just for fun". I have no respect for psychics.
Whatever floats your boat, I guess.

I'm sure...She gets your full name from paypal or your e-mail plugs that shizz in Google, pulls up your facebook page which is most likely linked to your DH's facebook page (not to mention any websites or online bios either of you might have) just browsing pictures, comments, etc. she can certainly tell the obvious about you and DH's personality. But, whatevs...to each their own. I just can't see giving any biitch $10 preys on these women's hopes...even if it's just for "fun."
