Re: POLL - to wake you up!

  • I am up and out the door in 15 minutes.  I shower at night so my morning consists of getting dressed, feeding the dogs and running out the door.  Sometimes I even brush my hair, though most times I just finger comb and throw it in a ponytail.

    TTC since 2010

lots of IUIs and 1 IVF all BFNs

    FET currently on hold

  • I shower at night but like to diddly-daddle a lot in the mornings (I wake up earlier than I need to because I can't fall asleep once DH is up, and he needs to get up about 40 minutes earlier than me). I usually read email, check the news & weather, and skim the boards in addition to the usual (i.e brushing teeth and hair and the like:). I don't eat my breakfast or have my coffee until I arrive at work. In my fantasy world I would use that extra time in the mornings to fit in an early run.

  • I guess I should answer my own poll ;)

If I take a shower in the morning, it takes me about 45 minutes from the time I get up and get in the shower to the time I walk out the door. Sometimes after my shower I like to crawl back into bed with DH and let my hair dry a little before I blow it dry.

  • 1 hour as well. Shower, breakfast, dry hair, feed & let out the dog and off I go.  I do my make-up at all the stop lights.  Haha...  Now that I can't text/drive I have lots of spare time and LOTS of stop lights on my 30 minute commute! :o)

  • Wow! Reading everyone's answers makes me feel like a total primp! :-P It takes me an hour and 15 to 30 minutes from the time I wake up to the time I leave. I shower, figure out what I want to wear, eat breakfast, blow dry my hair, put on makeup, fix my lunch, then walk out the door. I like to lolly gag in the morning. I really should cut out a few of those steps and do it the night before, so I can sleep later!

  • It takes me an hour if I don't eat breakfast at home, so an hour and 15 if I do. Mostly because I have naturally very curly hair that I usually straighten so that takes a while.

I also do my make-up at stoplights.  DH always teases me about it!  I am up, showered, and out of the house in ~45 mins if I leave my hair curly, do my makeup and eat breakfast in the car.  My commute is about an hour so I like to do as much in the car as possible :)

  • It takes me probably between 45 minutes- 1 hour depending on how much of a hurry I'm in. I'm not a morning person so I'm slow when I first wake up. :) I shower, sometimes will blow my hair straight otherwise I just let it air-dry curly, do my makeup, get dressed, have coffee (skipping coffee now though) and read the news online.

After 2 1/2 years TTC, 3 IUI's, endo, and a lap, a surprise BFP brought us Alexandra Marie!

I've got curly hair too. It takes me about a hour (curly) and hour and half (straight) to get ready. I don't usually eat breakfast, unless I workout in the morning. Shower and get dressed. I'm a light sleeper, so thankfully my DH gets up after I do.

  • From the time my feet hit the floor to the time I walk out the door is 50 minutes.  I get up.  Give our spoiled cat her wet food treat.  Change the dogs water bowl.  Make DH his breakfast/lunch bag.  Make my son is school snack bag.  Make him breakfast.  Go and wake him up.  Then I go and get myself ready.  Give the dogs a treat.  Head out the door.
