Why is he getting up every night for an hour or two????

Before Carson was sick 2 weeks ago he was a fabulous sleeper.  He regularly STTN, and when he didn't, he would wake up, cry out, and go right back to sleep.  Now he wakes up and screams his little head off until we hold him.  Then he will fall asleep in our arms and start screaming again as soon as we try to lay him down.  Help!

    Did he have a cold?  Could it be his ears?  I know that everytime one of my LO's get a cold...they end of 1-2 weeks later finding out that they have an ear infection.  DS did this like a month ago.  He went from STTN to all of a sudden not.  He never had a fever...so I would have never known he had an ear infecton...except that he didn't sleep.

    Is there any chance he's on the verge of a developmental milestone? Maybe getting ready to walk? That can interrupt sleep.  Whenever DS is about to do something new or when he has just started something new he'll wake more often.

    He hasn't been pulling at his ears at all and they were clear 2 weeks ago at the docs office....but a lot can change in 2 weeks.

    He is walking all over the place, and he started choosing walking over crawling the past few days...

    Both possibilities.  Thanks ladies...I guess I more or less needed to vent to people who understand : )
