What training method did you use (did they have to pee or poop to get gift or go a certain number of times, etc.)? And what did you use for the small gifts? I thought I may try this with DD but need inexpensive gift ideas. Thanks.
I know my cousin gave one piece of plastic food for her DD's kitchen each time she used the bathroom. At first she gave it everytime DD peed or pooped. But once her DD got the peeing down, then she only got a piece of play food when she pooped.

we did stickers. one for pee, two for poops. She would run to the stickers after she went. We also had a prize basket i the closet full of cheap prizes from the party supply store....tattoos, bubbles, playdough. We started out giving a prize for making it a whole day, then making it a few days. We let her know each day how close she was to a prize and what she needed to do to get to her goal.
The day before we started training, I took her to the grocery store and let her pick out what she wanted if she used the potty. She picked out a bag of jellybeans. I put them in a tupperware and left them on the counter, where she could see them. When she peed, she got to choose out 2. After a few days, she was trained and didn't need the jellybeans, so I hid them and she didn't ask for them again. Two weeks in, I wanted to work on pooping. So, I broke out the beans and told her she would get 4. We are on our third day of pooping, and tomorrow, I will hide the beans. I liked the idea of really involving her in the process and letting her choose her reward.
