Any news or updates?

What are you thankful for this year?

Re: PG-Mom-TTC check in

  • Any news or updates?

Caroline continues to be adorable!  I can't wait for her 4 month appointment next Monday to get accurate growth stats.  She still occasionally rolls over for us, but she won't keep doing it like she did last week.  I guess she figures that she knows how and will only do it when she wants to.

I'm only in the office today and half the day tomorrow so I'll get to spend lots of time with her until next Tuesday.  Yay!

What are you thankful for this year?

I'm obviously thankful for my healthy baby girl and my wonderful husband.  Additionally, I'm thankful that both me and Brian are currently employed and that we are even more blessed to have our moms watch Caroline for us 4 days a week.

I'm looking forward to meeting our newest Nestie niece or nephew (my vote is still for a nephew) so get that baby moving, Dana!

Lots of ::::: baby dust ::::: to those TTC!

    Happy Thanksgiving!

  • Any news or updates? Took the Clomid and I'm pretty sure I'm ovulating today...I got my positive OPK the day before yesterday, my temp dropped today and I have some very mild ovulation pains, which is weird 'cause they are usually bad (I hope that's a good thing)...the wildest thing is that I'm CD18...so it's like a week early...I guess that means the Clomid did what it was supposed to do. Other than that I'm on my last 3 days of prescribed BD...but I think we might need a refill on that prescription Wink

What are you thankful for this year? DH...he's been so supportive and patient. I couldn't ask for a better man.

  • Any news or updates? A week from today we have our second OB appt! I'm so excited to have another U/S!! I love seeing & hearing our little guppie!!!

What are you thankful for this year? I am so truely thankful for DH and for our newest little addition-to-come. We're also very lucky to be able to go home to Delaware this year for Thanksgiving so we can spend the holiday with our families! We have to stay in FL for xmas, so this will be nice for us!

**Baby Dust** for all those TTC!!!

  • Any news or updates? Kellen will be 7 months old tomorrow.  I'm freaking out b/c he is just getting so big!  He has got the army crawl down---that boy can move!  We haven't had to put up any gates yet, but I know the time will come in the next week or so.  He found Toby's water and food bowl yesterday, which made a huge mess!  LOL!  Still no teeth, but he is drooling like crazy still, so I'm expecting to see some soon.

What are you thankful for this year? I am very thankful for my healthy little man and supportive DH.  I truly don't know where I would be without the both of them.  And, not to get all sappy or anything, but I'm thankful for friends like you girls---some of us haven't even met IRL and we would still do anything for each other.

Lots of ::baby dust:: for our TTC girls!

  • A is almost able to get onto her tummy from her back.  She won't do any rolling for the video camera, or smile, it is like she knows what I am trying to do.  She met Santa for the first time on Sunday.  We let her go to my dad's xmas party with just my parents, and she came home with Toy Story 3 and a whole lot of other goodies.  We put her in the jolly jumper this week and she loved it.  She was also baby sat by a non-family member on Thursday.  We ended up leaving her with my parents and my friend a few times in the last two weeks.  She is going to be 4 months tomorrow, holy moly where has time gone?  She sees the doctor on Thursday.

I am thankful for my family and friends.  We are blessed with an amazing support system.

    Baby dust to those TTC.

  • Updates - K is cute. She is clapping and she is thisclose to waving, She says DaDa.  Although she doesn't say it because she knows it is him we still think it is adorable. Still not crawling but I am loving having a stationary baby, althpigh she is pulling up on things like crazy.  So she isn't tptally stationary.

Thankful - Obvs I am thankful for the baby and the hubby.  So some other things...red wine.  Video cameras to capture those memories that a camera can't.  My new cell phone - for when I forget my camera or videocamera.  Red wine.  Fenugreek for when I am on my period - or drink too much red wine the night before.  Space heaters for Miss K's room.  My dogs for being so gentle with K.  Cookies.

  • Baby Dust to our TTCers!

Update:  Mari is so close to crawling it's not even funny.  She has got the lunge down pat, but sometimes smashes her face.  She doesn't really know what to do once she's on her belly though...  I'm sure she'll figure it out soon.  As far as our nightime goes, you all know how that is...  I'm zonked, but hopeful.

What am I thankful for.... the obvious - Mariana, and Peter, and the rest of my family and friends.  The not-so-obvious - my therapist and her place to vent and cry and scream.  I am also super thankful for my stroller - I could not get around without it and am so happy I have it.  I am thankful I am healthy and have the strength to go without sleep for many many many many nights/weeks/months.

And Ashley, I am also thankful for fenugreek Stick out tongue

  • Update:  We survived our second plane trip of the year and this one was solo with Ian.  We always hear what a happy baby when we're on the planes, so that has been great to travel with him like that.  No more trips until the Bahamas in January and DH goes along so I will be happy for the help!  Ian is doing the lunging thing so he'll be mobile soon especially when he figures out its much faster than just rolling to get to where he wants.

QOTD:  I am so thankful for my miracle boy that I never in a million years thought I would ever get to have.  I am thankful for a great nanny and the ability to work from home.  And I am thankful to have the most wonderful husband.

Good luck to all the TTCers!!

  • Not much happening here.  We have the paint for Mady's room, so hopefully that'll be started this coming weekend.  I've started kick counts and usually have my ten movements within 4 minutes.  She has dance parties every night.  We're starting to plan my second baby shower, so that's fun.  I'm also starting to think about going the cloth diaper route.  I've been doing some research and it'll all just depend on me staying home or not.  (This decision on me staying home needs to be made ASAP and it's diving me crazy that we don't have a firm choice yet.)

I'm thankful for my wonderful husband, who is doing everything he can to have me be able to stay home with Mady after she's born.  I'm thankful for this little girl inside of me, whom I already love more than I ever could have imagined.  I'm thankful that our lives have taken such a great turn for the better in the last two years.  I'm thankful for my adorable puppy (who's not really a puppy at ALL), Bailey.  I'm thankful for my family and friends.  And I'm VERy grateful for you girls.  I've learned so much from all of you, and I'm lucky to have such a great support system in all of you.

Good luck to all of our TTCers!

  • Sam is finally feeling better. Today, for the first time in 10 days!, I changed a "normal" poopy-diaper instead of a diarrhea one. And he's happy and talking and enjoying tummy time again :-)

I'm thankful for my wonderful baby boy, for my awesome husband, my adorable cat, my lovely family and in laws....just for everything. And I'm grateful for this question, which opened up my eyes to see what I wonderful life I do have, and it makes me see I need to put away some of this anger and insecurity I've been feeling lately.

  • Natalee - I think I need to try and get out of the house to walk this baby out. :)

Update: Tomorrow I go in for my one day early 38w appointment. I can't believe that Thanksgiving is on Thursday. Time is flying by. Hopefully I'll have more news to share.

Thankful: I was just thinking about this just the other day. I'm thankful that we both have jobs this year, that we got a new to us car that we both love, for the crazy ILs and my little but nutty family as well, for all the supportive friends from this board and IRL, selling our townhome back in Feb. and renting this really nice place with awesome neighbors, and for this baby that we can't wait to meet. I consider ourselves really lucky this year considering last year we had frozen pizza and DH had to put up the tree because I was in a really bad mood for the holidays. Funny how a year can make a difference.

Good luck to all those TCCers. Sending you LOTS of baby dust! :) Happy turkey day everyone!

  • Good luck to all the ladies TTC!!! Happy Thanksgiving to everyone.

Update: Not much to report, but according to my OB that's good news. My belly's getting bigger, and I'm enjoying my second trimester body before it really expands.

QOTD: I'm grateful for my husband, for my crazy doggy, for an uneventful pregnancy so far, for a job I love, and for great friends and family.

  • Updates: Got my first stetch marks. blah. But on a happy note, Charlotte flipped to head down after being transverese for many many weeks. I have some abdominalk issues from a surgery when i was born and we thought maybe the scar tissue was blocking her ability to use vertical abdominal space, but I guess not, so yay for that! Otherwise, we are doing great.

I am Thankful for: my amazing husband and my 2 BFFs., my parents and of course the baby. I'm thankful for hidden blessings this year too. For example, when we left the island,  a lot of things were really up in the air, but in the last few weeks everything has fallen into place. I cannot tell you guys how lucky and blessed we feel for that.

I'm also thankful for you girls. You are the best listeners I've ever met and I don't know how I'd survive without the support I find here.

Happy Thanksgiving all, and lots of dust to our TTCers. and vibes for Dana that her last few weeks (or days, you never know!) go smoothly :)

  • Any news or updates? nia just realized she has feet this morning and started reaching for her toes in a sitting position; she can soothe herself by sucking her fingers which is a godsend when she starts to have a meltdown when we're shopping or on the subway. she even woke up after an hour i put her down the other night, cried hard for about 5 minutes, i waited to see what would happen and she indeed she found her fingers and went right back to sleep. she is moving from point a to point b more quickly now via army crawl. we think she'll be an early crawler for sure. she's also shrieking quite loudly all the time. it's funny but it wakes us up :-/ we're looking forward to moving her out of her co-sleeper and into her own room by christmas

What are you thankful for this year? i'm thankful to (still) live in nyc; thankful DH has a new job; thankful for the potential that i know the next few months will bring especially as i continue to pursue my dream of owning my own business and working from home (gotta get out and network more!); thankful for my little family and our health most of all!
  • Updates: not really baby related, but I've since been told it's "worse than childbirth" .... the docs are all pretty sure I passed a kidney stone last week. um. Ouch. I have my 12 week appointment on Friday.

OH! AND! I got a doppler, and was able to find the HB last night at an awesome 151 bpm. DH was super excited.

Thankful - certainly this little one. And that I continue to have a job.

  • Nothing too exciting is going on here.  We are all recovering from stomach bugs, but Nathan handled this one like a champ.  We are so excited to be going back to the states in two weeks for Christmas!

QOTW:  I'm thankful for my hubby and Nathan obviously...I'm thankful for the good friends I have made here and for having the chance and the ability to be able to spend Christmas with my family.  I can't wait for Nathan to be surrounded by Aunts, Uncles, cousins, grandparents.  It is more than I could have ever asked for!

    Thanks girl! :)

  • Gianna is getting so big so fast! She is crawling all over the place and now pulls herself up on everything first on her knees and now pulls up to her feet! She got 2 more teeth the other day which makes the total count of 4!! All on the bottom lol!!! I think she did all of this bc she knew I was going back to work ;) I am thankful of course for my beautiful baby girl and the best family a girl can ask for!!! Life is good!!! Happy thanksgiving everyone!!
  • News or updates: Still on Cycle 5. Waiting to hear results from the lab work my OB ordered. After I get those back, I will most likely schedule the ultrasound and edometrial biopsy. I'll probably start Clomid in Jan. Hopefully things will start to look up soon.

Things for which I am thankful: My supportive husband, my crazy puppy, my loving family and friends,  and my kiddos at school who have the ability to make me laugh every single day.

  • I'm getting super tired nowadays. Last week I had two spells of the room spinning+me throwing up+my blood sugar being very low (one Monday, one Friday) and then yesterday and today I had a few hours of the room starting to spin every now and then, but nothing like those other times. The doctor says my blood sugar dropping really fast and my blood pressure bottoming out as well are the reason for this, but it's getting really old really fast. Because of this, and I really didn't want to this year, I'm not going Black Friday shopping. I'm going to sleep in and spend time home alone. I'm going to be doing that a lot this loooong weekend since I'll actually get time off of work, and Josh will be spending his out hunting. That's a whole other vent though.

This year, I'm thankful for Kari more than anything. She's not here yet, and I've already learned so much from her. It's crazy how my pregnancy started out with the IUD being in place and all of the mixed emotions I had about it in the beginning. I know how very blessed I am to have gotten pregnant especially when the odds were against it because we weren't planning on being pregnant for a while. Even though I've had a lot of downs this year and my eyes have been opened to a great deal of bad in several people I encounter daily, I still have a lot of positives in my life. Being pregnant with this child has definitely been an experience I won't forget, and can't wait for her to be here so that I can learn even more from her.
