Debating on whether to POAS on Thanksgiving

Well, so far I have not made good on my pledge since last cycle to wait until 14DPO to test. I tested at 13DPO last cycle because it was Halloween. This month I am flirting with the idea of testing on Thanksgiving even though it will only be 10DPO just because it would be cool. If I got a BFN, I would probably wait until Sunday to test again. That would only be 13DPO but I would rather have a day off when I get a BFP. Anyone else having this dilemma?

Nope. Started spotting Sunday so I am looking forward to next cycle.

If you are ok with seeing a BFN then go ahead and test, but you know the statistics of HPTs...

I wouldn't do it. I would wait a few days. I will be 11 DPO on Thanksgiving, but I plan to wait until Sunday so I don't get disappointed.

I'll be 11DPO on thanksgiving. And I'm testing on Thursday morning. I swore last month I'd wait until 13DPO but with the holiday... I need to know!

I was planning on testing on Thanksgiving at 11dpo. I'm spotting now so I probably won't make it, but if I do I'll probably still test just because I have ICs I might as well use them.

I have a bunch of IC's so I'm testing everyday 10 DPO. But, if it's going to bum you out to see a BFN (even if it's just too early) just enjoy the day and wait it out.

I am in the same situation- I will be 10 DPO on Thanksgiving also, and I do want to test if my temps are still up and no AF. Last cycle I only made it to 9 DPO, tested, and got a BFN and then AF later in the day. That cycle was way short compared to my usual, so AF was quite unexpected. I am going to TRY to hold out testing til 12 DPO, but we shall see! Good luck with whatever you decide!

If I were in your shoes, I would resist the urge and wait until after Thanksgiving. I would want to enjoy the holiday and I think if it came back a BFN I would have a hard time celebrating. And it is kind of early to test. Unless you want to make sure you can drink lots of wine

I don't know if I would. Probably not. Too early. I will only be 8 DPO which will be way too early so I will just have to wait til the weekend is over. Good luck!

i'll be 11dpo on tday. im still not sure if im going to do it. i keep going back and forth. tomorrow will be too early and if i do it on Tday, i might be miserable so maybe i'll just wait until sunday.

Okay so can someone help me out here? I'm a bit lost on all the acronyms, which is sad for me since I'm in the Navy and we tend to speak in acronyms. Could someone please fill me in? What's DPO, POAS, BFN, all the others...? Sorry if I seems a bit slow on the up-take but if it's one thing the Navy has taught me its that if you don't know one of the more commonly used acronyms, you should probably ask what it is so you know what everyone is talking about.
