Advice to incorporate mom's name..

Me and hubby are TTC and my mom has always wanted us to name our girl after her. The problem her name is Elenitsa. Pronounced Ella Neat Sah...I don't like it a little bit, but I like the idea of giving my daughter a name that would remind me of my mom. Without using the uber popular name Ella, what do you see as my options? Thanks.

I agree with shortening your mom's name or using it as a MN. Also, does your mom have a MN that you like and would consider using?

My mom doesn't have a middle name and after reading what I wrote it sounds like I want to honor her because she passed. I don't want to mislead you she's still alive. I just wanted to try and give my future daughter a name that would remind me of her. I don't really like her name enough to give it as a middle name (is that horrible?). Thank you so much again.

Alayna= grandmother

May= mom who's real name is Maylonda!
