Basal Body Thermometers

Can anyone recommend a good basal thermometer? Are they all the same, if not, how do you know whether it is good or not?

TIA

  • I use the Target brand and it tends to have favorite temps so I am not sure how much I trust it. I recently ordered one off of Amazon and I cannot wait to get it!

  • I have the Walgreen's brand and have had no issues. It was cheap, too!

  • This is my second cycle charting, so I don't have that much experience yet, but I use a Wal-Mart brand thermometer.  The brand is ReliOn, and it's just a regular digital.  So far, I feel it is reliable.  I haven't gotten a BBT yet because I feel I can see a temp. shift pretty easily with this one.  It takes the temp quite quickly and beeps fast.  No backlight though, but that's not an issue for me.

  • I got mine at HEB (no clue of the brand name though) and I like it so far.
  • I had the pink one from Target and had to get a new one because it kept giving me the same temperatures over and over again. I got a new one from Walmart this cycle and it seems to be working really well.
  • I bought the BD thermometer on Amazon.  It has memory recall, a back light feature and I haven't had any problems with "favorite" temperatures.
