So I bathe the boys together bc it's much easier, right. Never a problem, they both play and have fun. A few nights ago, JD randomly decides he wants to take a shower, so I let him; Matt watches with interest. I then fill the tub for Matt's bath and put him in; he freaks out, screaming hysterically and refuses to sit down. I thought maybe it was too hot (it wasn't, and I even added some cold anyway). Fits and hysterics and stiff legs. JD watches and informs me that Matt wants to take a shower like he did. I disagree and power through w Matt's bath. The same scenario plays out for several more nights in a row.
Tonight, when JD tells me *again* that Matt wants to take a shower like he did, I shrug and pour some water over Matt as he is standing screaming in the bath. He immediately stops screaming. I try to sit him down, and he starts again. I wash him standing, pouring water over him, and he's fine, but as soon as i sit him down, he's hysterical. So I'd say it seems he really does want to do what his big brother does-- which really shouldn't surprise me, bc OMG you've never seen such a copycat-- which would be fine, but I had a really hard time washing him and holding his arm so he didn't slip and fall at the same time.
Point being (OMG, long winded) any suggestions for how to "shower" a toddler so he doesn't fall and crack his skull? I had a particularly hard time with the shampoo. And also, I should listen better when JD tells me stuff.

Re: Ridiculous-- my 15 m/o apparently wants showers instead of baths??
