Making me a nervous wreak

So DD has decided that crawling isn't good enough. Now she wants to pull herself to a stand. But she keeps falling and smaking her head or face. I am a mess. I know bumps and bruises are going to happen but I am terrified of her hurting herself really bad. I need to get her a helmet.

  • Baby H has decided that he's really brave and he'll stand up on just about anything he's started taking lots of tumbles too :( Maybe try putting on a hat that has a little padding (ha ha like she'd keep it on) but it's worth a try

LOL....I can stuff the hat with that batting at the craft store...LOL. But DD hates hats. I put them on anyway but they usually come off.

  • I hear you.  DS is doing the same thing and he also has a new PM caregiver at DC I'm not a fan of.  Yesterday she said he fell on his head while he was trying to stand at this piano thing.  He was on the linoleum and not the carpet, which really pissed me off (she knows he is just learning how to do these things).  He had a little red bump. :( He seems to be fine though. I tend to hover around him way too much at home for fear of him falling but I know DC will not do the same.
  • DS soes this all the time also... His fore head is covered in bruises.. once one goes away he gets another. I think it's just part of learning cordination..

Sometimes DS doesn't even cry anymore when he hits his head.. I just keep an eye on him and try not to let him stand on the tile.

All of my life I have been waiting for all you give to me You
