I will be going back to work after New Year's when DS will be 10 weeks old. He will be going to the sitter's house (not a full in-home childcare set-up ) from about 7a-4p each day M-F. We are going to meet with her tonight. What should I expect to pay? If it makes a difference, I'm in Dayton.
Re: How much do you pay for childcare?
I am in Dayton too and it sounds like the set up I have for my DS. We pay $100 a week. She supplies all food now that he is a toddler, but I supplied BM, purees, and diapers/wipes (of course). She supposedly gives us 5 "sick" days a year, but I'm too lazy to cash those in so I kinda consider that her unmentioned bonus. I am a teacher and we are expected to still pay on holidays and the summer to reserve our spot. IE: this week DS is there M-Tues but I'm paying her for M-F.
By comparison, the preschool (full-time) we're looking at in the fall is $180 a week and we have to provide all food. Also I looked into Kindercare and LaPetite Academy and they were around the $160ish/wk if I remember correctly.
