My MIL's name is Priscilla and before she had grandkids, she decided her grandma name was Cilla because she wants to be "unique". This is what DS #1 and my niece, who is 3, have been calling her since they talked.
She just calls me and tells me she was at the gym and some other woman named Priscilla was telling her that her grandkids also call her Cilla. So now it's ruined because it's not unique. She told me to refer to her as just Cil now so that she can be unique again. LOL.
Her friends' (who could be on a Real Housewives season if they ever came to her city) grandma names are Sassy and Glamour. Yes...Sassy and Glamour.
Re: LOLz! Oh, my MIL is loco.
Cilla isn't such a stretch...even though I find it kind of strange that a grandma would want her grandkids calling her by a shortened version of her first name. Too bad she doesn't find it unique anymore
.
Sassy and Glamour?? Oh lord....

The Chaos of Six!
Cilla is fine. I just think its hilarious she now wants to change it 3 years in. FIL is Rick and at first he wanted the kids to just call him Ricky and DH and SIL vetoed it. So he came back with....RiRi. Seriously, RiRi???
Don't get me started on her friends name. Glamour is a well....hmmm...an interesting lady.
You want to know loco and weird MIL names?
One of my MIL's renamed herself 'Gan Neh Na' spelled and pronounced that way. Apparently she thought Carol was too boring.
*snort*
RiRi...ohhhh dear. That's what they call the singer Rihanna in the tabloids.
