How long did it take for your wedding rings to fit again....

after giving birth?

I was one of the lucky ones that swelled during pregnancy and had to take my rings off around 4 or 5 months pregnant or so. 

I am now 8 weeks post partum and my rings still dont fit!  I can get them on (barely) and it is a very, very tight fit and they almost dont come back off.  Do you think I should go ahead and have my rings re-sized or wait a little while longer and see if they fit again?

    Wait longer.  I think mine fit again after about 4 months.  I know that seems crazy.  After Justin was born, I got mine resized when he was 10 weeks old and now they are too big.

    I waited 6 months and finally had to have them resized.  My fingers never went back to their original size (and neither did my feet - had to buy all new shoes).  Thankfully, I was able to wear my rings the entire pregnancy with Brynn (no change in size).

    I asked my Dr this same question last week - she said to give it 6 months.  I was swollen for most of my pregnancy, too, and it's been a loooong time since I've been able to wear my rings.  Sad

    At 8 weeks pp, I could get them on but it wasn't a guarantee that I could get them off.  About 3-4 mos pp, they were better.  Give it time...  someone once told me it takes 9 mos to bake a baby, so it takes at least 9 mos to get back to normal.  Actually, someone told me it takes 3 years for your body to fully recover after you give birth...

    I could wear one at 4 months, and both at 6 months (I could get them both on at 4 months, but not comfortably).
