Weather vent...more like a big b!tch than a vent!

I am so sick of all my powder-whore FB friends who get excited by all this snow! It's been dumping non-stop since Friday night, 5 feet and counting.  We've spent hours every day just clearing enough snow to be able to get our cars in the driveway and let our dogs outside to pee!  And I'm tired of logging onto FB and seeing "it's another snow day, sitting by the fireplace drinking tea watching the beautiful Alpenglow out my window" I just wanna pound those people!  It's supposed to be -8 degrees tonight.  I left Canada to get out of this shiz and here I am in sunny California in one of the coldest places in the continental U.S.!  Whatever happened to global warming???

    Funny story...

    We lived in the mountains when I was little. My dad's little brother came to live with us after he graduated from college in Massachusetts.  He arrived to find us completely covered in snow so he sent a picture of himself in swimming trunks sitting in a snow drift and wrote, "Here I am in sunny Southern California" on it.

    But anyway, good luck with the snow and try to enjoy some tea ;)

    That is funny!  Where did you live? Big Bear?  Grapevine? Alpine?
