Kamikaze cat

My husband and I have a young cat who is lovable but very feisty. In the middle of the night however when she has extra energy she normally runs around the apartment while we sleep. This wasn't an issue until recently when she began to jump off the bookshelf onto my stomach in the middle of the night. I don't believe that she is being malicious in her actions or anything but I am wondering if I should be worried about her bouncing on me? I am also curious as to whether any of you have faced this type of problem with a pet before?

    She likely wants you to wake up and play with her!  Maybe get her a few extra toys to play with at night to provide her with some extra entertainment!  :-)
