After 4 unsuccessful IVF's and 4 FET's, we went to Cornell for our last ditch effort to have a child.
In going there, they did much more thorough blood work and found that my thyroid levels were off. I had to get that fixed before I could continue with them.
Went to an endocrynologist. Found out that my levels were barely off. Now, I don't remember what they were or if they were low or high, but if your T3 or T4 levels are high, your TSH is low and vice versa. Well, my T3/T4 levels were off, but my TSH levels were actually fine. That's how minor it was.
But, regardless, got on Synthroid.
Just went in for a check-up. I had missed some pills here and there and my doctor told me that if I do, I'll probably end up feeling overly tired. I kind of was like "whatever" over it because i really have never felt any symptoms from my thyroid.
BUT- I do know I have felt in bit of a fog lately. Tired all.the.time regardless of how much sleep I got, etc.
Got my blood test back, she felt my levels were low, so she upped my medication. From 75 to 88 - not a huge change, but a change.
CRIPES. The past 2 days, I've felt GREAT. Really, really great. Well rested, not exhausted, etc.
I'm literally stunned at the change, and I absolutely think it's due to the change in my meds. NOW I "get it" and how much of an impact your thyroid can have on you.
I didnt' realize HOW tired I really had been over the past couple weeks.
