Stomach flu hits the whole family

Matt started throwing up just before I got home on Friday and on Sunday he had horrible diarrhea. I started feeling poorly Sunday morning and by noon I was stuck going between the bed and bathroom. DH took care of Matt all day on Sunday.

In the middle of Sunday night DH started in with diarrhea and he is stuck in bed today.

Thankfully I am feeling good enough to go into work today but only because I can sit on my butt. If I had to stand I couldn't do it.

I was expecting our nanny to call in sick but she was fine this morning.

I wonder what would we have done if both of us got sick at the same time? I have no idea how we would have taken care of Matt. I guess we would call our friends to help.

you just kind of make do. Sorry to hear that -- honestly, the stomach flu is the worst! The only good thing is that for adults, the brunt of it is not long-lasting. Hope you are all feeling better!

It happened to us about 2 months ago, DH and I both caught food poisoning from a local taco place and couldn't get up off the bathroom floor, sickest we've ever been! So we called our babysitter over and a couple friends and they all took shifts. Sucks not having family close by. Anyway I hope you guys feel better soon and hope the nanny doesn't catch it!

Oh yuck! Hope you guys feel better quickly! We have been fortunate that we have not all been sick at the same time.. but we would have to make do as well... I don't think even our family would come see us then ; )

Oh no!

I agree with the "making do" comment. We all got the stomach flu a month or so ago and we just dealt with it as best as we could; DH worked, but he sits all day; I just barely got by looking after achey, fussy, diarrhea machine M despite being feverish and nauseated myself.

It was rough, but we managed.

I hope you guys are all on the mend soon.

Sorry to hear that - T & Ps that you will all get better soon. We thought the same thing last week and all three of us got sick. You know, you just get through it. We worked on taking care of S and let everything else go to the side (hence why we have no clean clothes this week - lol). As with everything else, you just make due.

That would be awesome if you had friends to help - every extra hand counts!

Agreed, you just muddle through and deal with the aftermath later. Sorry you guys were sick! Sounds like things ar elooking up though. And as my DH's doctor was always fond of telling him when anything GI related came up.... "This too shall,,,, ahem,,,,, pass..."
