Help! Does anyone have any advice to lesson the hip pain while sleeping on side? Every night, I rock from left to right becuase my hips hurt when I lay to long on one side...will a body pillow help? I would love a good night sleep!
Try sticking an extra pillow between your knees for a few nights. If it helps, then you may want to get a body pillow! It is supposed to help
Yes! I sleep like this every night, it helps me. Though towards the end not even that helped, so be prepared...
The only bad thing about a body pillow (other than the space they take) is that turning with them under the covers is a nightmare (at least for me). Think about that before you buy one, maybe a king size pillow would do. HTH!
I posted about this yesterday & have been suffering as well! I don't have a body pillow & normal pillows don't work between my legs since they aren't long enough to reach my feet as well. Last night I folded up one of our fluffy couch blankets and put it between my legs. It did help some but not totally. But yeah, switching sides with that or a pillow under the covers sucks!
honeslty not much helps, prepare not to get a good night sleep the rest of your pregnancy. Pretty soon your legs and whole side start to go numb, at night.

I use a long pillow, I guess it is technically a body pillow. I have one end stuck down at the very end of the bed, and the top then hits right around my knees. I really like how I can straighten my top leg on top of it. You can find them at Bed Bath & Beyond.
Because the pillow is stuck down at the end of the bed I don't have to really move it when I roll over. If I roll over I just yank it a little so it angles the opposite direction.

ugh. i have been waiting with dread for this to start. this was the worst part of pregnancy for me last time. i could make it about 20 min before i couldn't take it anymore and had to roll over and i would do it all night. the one positive though, is that for me it only lasted a few weeks.
i hope you find a solution and that your hips start feeling better soon!
