Spotting

No cramps. But d@mn.

I know it doesn't necessarily mean something's wrong, but it sure isn't a sign that things are right. D@mn.

Re: Spotting

  • I read somewhere yesterday that some spotting before day 40 is normal, especially in 2nd or subsequent children.  I'd only worry if there's cramping or it doesn't ease up.

    Thoughts and prayers!!!

  • Laura, please try not to worry. Remember all the women from the pg over 35 board who spotted early and ended up being absolutely fine. Minus being freaked out. Hugs though. I can't imagine how scary it is.

  • If it helps - I spotted during my entire pregnancy with S.  It was nothing to do with the baby and my doctor said she wasn't at risk.  I ended up having to slow down a ton, but S came out just fine.  Just take it slow and rest as much as you can.  T & P coming your way - lots of hugs too.....

  • Yep.. spotting is common, especially right around 6-8 w.   Implantation is probably kicking in, which means the little egg is diggin' in for the long haul.

But do call the doc.. just to be safe.  Since you're AMA (gag!) they may want you to go in to get a quick U/S.

  • Laura, try not to worry (I know it's difficult). I had some early spotting with Logan and as we know, everything turned out just fine.

Sending you hugs & positive thoughts!

  • I spotted w/Maddie at 6 weeks also. I hope it's just the "normal' spotting  so many of us have experienced. I did go to the ER and they did an U/S since I hadn't been seen by a the doctor yet. It was a SCH and it resolved itself and everything was fine. ;) It was so reassuring, so if you ca go see your doc, please do.

  • I too had spotting around 6-8 weeks that the OB said was normal.  Call your OB.  Hugs!!
  • I spotted with both boys. Nothing with Heather.

Maybe it's a boy thing? Wink

  • FYI~  I bled (not even spotted) for a few days at the very beginning of this pregnancy..... I just thought I got my period and that was that, but I went in for the beta draw anyway and the results were great!  I don't remember how far along you are, but I was about 4 weeks pg, bled for like 2 and a half to 3 days and everything is fine.  Hoping for some good news for you~

Doc said some people just bleed during the first few months sometimes....so don't give up hope just yet.  Thinking of you~
