Where do you shop for your LO?

I have noticed that we have some well dressed LOs on here. What are your favorite places to shop for clothes for them? And while we're at it, any places/ brands you stay away from (quality/ sizing issues, etc)?

My favorites are Target, Marshalls, and The Childrens Place. I am super cheap when it comes to clothes in general so good prices are a must. Carters is one of my favorite brands, I feel like the sizing is great even over CDs. It has to be the regular Carters though, not the stuff from Target or WalMart, I have had problems with the snaps coming off, sometimes after just wearing once. Sams has good prices on Carters, but not much selection. I also like Genuine Baby by OshKosh and Dwell Studio and sometimes Circo at Target. I love Marshalls overall but I hate how their selection varies so much between stores. My moms store has great brands but mine has some brands I have only heard of in hip hop videos. I'm not trying to be tacky but seriously the stores I usually shop for myself don't have Apple Bottoms or Dereon but I have heard of them in songs, and you could buy your baby some apple bottom jeans at our Marshalls. Probably boots with fur too if you were so inclined. (Sorry got a little sidetracked there!)

ETA: Holy crap that turned out long!

Re: Where do you shop for your LO?

  • I have a Carter's, Children's Place and Gap directly across the street from my house, so I mostly go to those - especially Carter's.  Like you, I  found that Carter's pants fit best of CDs.

I hate Gymboree, but love Janie and Jack (will only buy non-sale items there on a RARE occasion - like her snowsuit this weekend).

  • I've bought very little for Caroline since we're still drowning in clothes that we received as gifts from people.  I must agree that Carter's is my favorite.  I would say about 80% of what we have is Carter's.  The 2 times that I have actually bought her things, that's where I ordered from.  The quality is great!  They wash well and the sizing is the best.
  • My two favourite stores are Children's Place and Old Navy.  I love that they almost always have great sales Smile  I also really like Carter's clothes and can sometimes find items at Sears.  There's a store that has more selection but it is a long drive and I don't go often.

  • I love Old Navy sale rack.  That dress K is wearing in her Santa pic...$1.  Yep.  So awesome.  I always scour the sale rack for Miss K because she grows out of clothes so quickly.  Target is another place.  Their sale rack isn't as great though.

My friend bought me some baby clothes from H&M that I love so when I go to her house for some birthday fun, I am going to stop at H&M to check it out.

  • Blayne, I am exactly like you. I only shop Target, Carters, Children's place occasionally Old Navy. Macy's has really cute dressy baby outfits that aren't too expensive.
  • I'm really happy you posted this because I'm starting to think of Christmas gifts for my little BILs. I always get them clothes or books because they are really spoiled and have waaaay too many toys. I usually shop for them at Target, but I'm thinking I might make a trip down to the Carter's outlet store.

Plus, all of their clothes get passed down to my nephew, and if we have a boy, we'll get them too Smile

  • I've been getting everything from Target lately.  Children's Place once in awhile.  I actually don't care too much for Carter's.  Well, it's ok if you buy up a size or two.  They shrink SO much.
  • Most of C's clothes are from Baby Gap or Old Navy or Nordstrom Rack. We also have quite a bit of Carters clothes too and I will pick up a thing or two from Target if I see something cute. I really like their Circo brand.

I absolutely HATE Gerber onsies! They are so thin and run SUPER small.

    Agreed!

I have to say that Children's Place is my favorite. I love Baby Gap, but their stuff is just too pricey for the rate she grows out of things. So, we only shop there for sales or with a gift card. I like Carter's stuff, & the Circo brand from Target.

Maybe the Apple Bottoms would have some extra room for Reese's cloth diaper booty!
  • Baby Gap, The Children's Place, Gymboree, Target, Oshkosh B'Gosh, and Carters when she was a baby.

  • I'd say 99% of Sophia's wardrobe is from Target, Old Navy & Gap. LOVE all of them! Only thing is, to me, Target & Old Navy's toddler selection is much better than their newborn/baby selection. I didn't buy as much from them when Soph was a newbie.

Hilarious! Maybe I should check them out!
