teeth brushing tips!

Please share! The LOs have started throwing them selves around when it comes time to brush thier teeth.  Im afraid of hurting them and they are both teething so im sure that has a little to do with it.

There are days i just cant bare the thought of fighting them.

TIA

Re: teeth brushing tips!

  • I have no tips, but if it makes you feel any better, my DD does this too. Teeth brushing time has become quite the chore in this house!

  • Use this toothbrush https://www.amazon.com/Baby-Banana-Bendable-Training-Toothbrush/dp/B0010LR812  That's what we use and DD loves it.  She can hold it, chew on it, etc...and it does the trick.  She loves it and lets us brush her teeth.

  • If I sing a song he giggles and lets me in the mouth.  If I say AAAAHHH and go up in pitch a little each time he says it too and that keeps it open a little longer.  Finally, in a pinch, I can run the brush under water and get it in again for a few seconds a time.  I do this a few times until I give up.  All in all, I probably only get 30 seconds or so of actual brushing time.  I really hope he doesn't get cavities!

  • I brush my teeth and give DD her toothbrush so she can brush hers and loves doing what mommy is doing. Then when I'm done she's more willing to let me get a good brushing on her teeth.
