Ok here's the deal... AF was due Thursday, got a BFN on Friday, testing again Wed. or Thurs. if AF doesn't show but I'm worried I'll get another BFN. Obv I'm hoping for a BFP, but would like to know either way so that I can enjoy some drinks on Thanksgiving if I'm not KU.
What would would you do in the same situation (I'm sure some other girls must be in the boat!)

Re: clicky poll - your view on drinking?
GL to you too! baby dust (or AF soon so we can have a cocktail!)
AF is due Wed- so I'll test then- just before Thanksgiving- If I dont have AF with a BFN i'll probably not drink just in case- but everyone at my inlaws watch all the ladies like HAWKS- im not kidding- its like a joke- like if you dont have a drink in your hand you must be preggers- What to do???
i'll have to lie and say im on antibiotics or something! geeeezzzz....

That's what I was thinking.
Ladies, a reason to chart means you can drink without guilt. You're not late until you've seen ovulation happen with your temps and it's 14 days later.
This
oops! my chart isn't updated... last updated on wed. 11/17... so most likely 12 dpo as of today if I had to make an educated guess
I think my poll is misunderstood! I don't temp b/c I can't sleep knowing I have to wake up, I play mind games.
Not asking for a scientific answer about my O date or why AF is later than usual, just wondering who drinks after their O date and who doesn't. Hope that clarifies everything!
I get that your O date isn't the question, but you specifically said in your post that AF was due last week, and I don't think that's accurate. Most of us go with "drink til it's pink." You don't share blood with your embryo until about 6 weeks, so even if you were implanting right about now, you won't be hurting anything by having some drinks. It's a personal choice though. Some girls prefer to not take the chance. We can't tell you what you should do.

My dad is a "recovering alcoholic" going on about 2 years now...
Our family DOES NOT drink around him. No alcohol ever goes in that house. Maybe it'll be different a few more years from now... but right now all of us are holding our breath and hoping the not drinking thing sticks.
They were just trying to explain to you why it is OK for you to drink this week. I think YOU misunderstood THEM. Hope that clarifies everything.
Happy for your Dad... my family doesn't drink at family parties for a similiar reason. My in-laws are a different story - it's not a party w/out lots of alcohol! If you don't have a drink in your hand, you must be pg (according to my MIL)
My SIL would drink club soda and lime or coke and lime on the rox when she was KU and wasnt ready for the questions. Everyone thought there was liqour in it so no questions asked. Or just hold a glass of wine and let your H sip on it for you.

I'll be in the 2ww, but not that close to testing. After having an ectopic/missed mc, I'm no gonna be drinking. If something were to happen again, I'd always wonder & am just more paranoid now. Plus- I've never been much of a drinker to begin with.
That said, I'd think it was completely ok for someone in your situation to have a drink (but I'd probably limit it).
