MIL = annoyance

I posted a status on FB that was about me making my 2nd pie ever this week (then added a comment that I found a yummy cheesecake recipe so maybe I'd be making 2 desserts).

And my MIL comments, "For a pie newbie, the cheesecake would be easier. I think pie crust is easy, but it takes practice."

Aaarrrrrgh! (okay, maybe she didn't mean to sound condescending, but you know, that's how I took it! Wink)

    Wow, first I do have to say you're brave for being friends with your MIL on FB.  Anyways, that comment would also annoy me; but for me it's probably more annoying because I don't care for my MIL

    Just ignore her and enjoy your pie making.  I'm sure it'll turn out yummy.

    Gotta admit, I'd have read it like that too. Just make the best dang pie imaginable and bring it to Thanksgiving Day.

    Did you see my post about the Great Stuffing debate of 2010 that's currently going on in my house???   My SIL is here and think's I'm crazy because I refuse to stuff my turkey.   But I think I've won that battle.. at least so far.  We'll see on Thursday what happens.
