DD hasn't gained weight in 3 months

DD was 18lbs at her 1 year WBV and today (she is now almost 15 months old) she went to the pedi for a sick appointment and when they weighed her, she was only 18lbs! Is that bad? DH took her and didn't ask about her weight gain but he has to take her back again on Wednesday for a follow-up and will ask then, but in the meantime I am concerned!

    If it is any comfort, DS also did not gain any weight between 12-15 months. He was a steady 21 lbs. Pedi was not concerned as long he is healthy and active and asked us to keep trying new foods (DS is a very picky eater) and these days he even takes lesser whole milk. But definitely check with your pedi in your next visit and ask all questions.

    It's normal at this age. The doc would've mentioned it tp dh if they were concerned.

    Mine didn't at the sick appt. I had my guy in on a Monday because he was sick. They weighed him and he was actually less at 15 m. than at 12.  He had his 15 month appt. that same week and it was then that the doc was concerned. He had actually lost some weight, but I think that was due to being sick and not eating.  The doc is concerned, though (he is around 21 lbs).  We are going to see how he his at his 18 month appt. and then we may have to see a development specialist.

    My baby is picky, too.  I am pretty stressed about it.

    Since being sick she may have lost some too. If the Dr. wasn't concerned, I wouldn't be either since this is pretty typical at this age. If it makes you feel any better, DS has only gained 1 lb 6 oz. in 8 months. He's just going to be small.

    I know how you feel DS has been 20lbs for a while now.  He eats really well, I mean he eats anything but small amounts.  I'm not looking forward to the 15 month apt next week because unless he gains a pound in the next week he will be the same weight from the 1 yr apt.
