How much licking do you allow your dog on LO?  Amber (female) will come sniff Thomas and maybe one or two licks but Gunther (male) wants to lick Thomas all the time.

    Riggins licks Logan...ALL THE TIME!! We really try to stop it, but Logan doesn't help matters because he just thinks it's so funny. He opens wide. I know...ewwww. :)  Riggins is a male, too. Hmmm.

    I can't get my male lab to stop "kissing" the baby either. DS loves the dog and will actually crawl to him for kisses and just laugh and laugh! We try to get the dog to stop but it is futile.

    Our lab/shepherd mix likes to give DS baths all the time.  Ugh!  But DS thinks it is great.  I try to limit it a bit because of his sensitive skin but not so much that I interrupt their bond.

    Casey isn't a crazy licker but he'll get some swipes in. I pretty much am OK with it now. 

    My main issue is keeping Aaron from assaulting the dog with his enthusiasm. He LOVES Casey. But there have been a few times lately where he's cornered him and I didn't see it until Casey gave a warning growl. I'm worried that one day Aaron will hurt Casey and then Casey will bite Aaron. The dog needs some space.

    I keep saying to Casey: Be nice to your food source. (Since Aaron thinks it's his job to feed Casey his Cheerios, Puffs and Goldfish.

    Oh yes! I've got a dog (Lucy) who is a BIG time licker! We let her give some licks because Betty Jane LOVES it! We try to keep it to just the hands and feet, but Lucy usually manages to give her a big wet one on the face. YUCK!

    We have two dogs.  I just try to keep them from licking DD in the face, but otherwise, I let them kiss her if they feel like it (and she's not protesting).  But they are not all that interested in her unless she's eating.

    Oscar will give LO mouth kisses if I let him. I try to limit that because I think it's disgusting, other random kisses don't bother me, I just wash her up afterwards.

    My dogs eat coyote poop, bear poop and animal carcasses and they've picked up worms several times so I don't let them lick S's face even though they always try!
