Both. Liam loved his exersaucer since about 2.5 months. He wasn't a huge jumperoo fan until a few weeks ago when he actually learned how to jump properly - now he's in love!
I don't know about recommending mine, they probably aren't in stores anymore. I got them from a garage sale, they're pretty much all the same idea.
DS has an exersaucer and loves it, I went to buy a jumperoo and the weight limit is 25 lbs and since DS is already 20 so I decided it wasn't worth the $100+.

I got the Baby Einstein Musical Jumperoo and the seat seemed kinda big for my son. I borrowed an Exersaucer for my son and it seems to be better suited for him now, where as the Jumperoo seems like he'll get more use out of it in the next few months when he is bigger. The exersaucer is a lifesafer, as I can put my son in it in the mornings while I have my coffee and breakfast and watch him play.

I don't think you need both. The jumperoo has toys like the exersaucer but they also have the option of jumping.
We have the FP Rainforest jumperoo and DS really likes it. We started using it at 4.5 months. He's not quite long enough so we put a board game under his feet.
Amazon has it on sale right now for $65 which is a really good price.

We have both. Got the doorway jumper off craigslist (I heart craigslist) and the excersaucer my sister who's daughter outgrew it. I am only starting to introduce them to Kylee now. She enjoys the excersaucer so far and seemed to enjoy the jumparoo the one time she's been in it. I like having variety for her! I'm sure she'll love them both once she gets the hang of them.
We were just going to get a jumperoo, but ended up being given both as hand me downs. DD actually prefers the exersaucer because there is more stuff to play with. She likes to jump in the jumperoo sometimes, but she's more into doing anything that uses her fine motor skills.

Pretty standard.
We only have a jumperoo and LO loves it, we don't really have room or a need for both.
