I find a bedding set I like, then talk myself out of it. They find another, then second guess it. I don't know what I want and am looking for some things to inspire me.
If you have/did a gender neutral room can I see what you did? TIA.

here is the link to all of my nursery posts on my blog. Unfortunately, my bedding set is discontinued, so you wouldn't be able to get it if you liked it
My fave colors are green & blue, so thats why we decided on those, and we were Team Green from the start.

here's an idea -- don't get a bedding set. i found it so much easier to do things in the nursery when i wasn't hampered by some artificial 'theme' and licensed characters that were part of a set where i wasn't supposed to/going to use most of the elements (bumpers, quilts, diaper stackers) anyway.
we painted my daughter's room caribbean blue, bought lime shelves and curtains from ikea and target, a cute blue and brown rug from home depot, and decorated and accessorized according to what we thought was pretty and nice, not some arbitrary theme dictated by a crib set. for sheets we bought plain or patterned sheets in colors that fit --even a sheet from a bedding set.
use something you think is pretty to inspire you -- artwork you want on the wall, a quilt made by you grandmother...i used a beaded lampshade, and it ended up not going in the room anyway!
We didn't really plan on a gender neutral nursery but I think this would have worked for a girl too. I'm not big on themes so I just wanted something that would go with the rest of my house. I don't everything done yet but here's the bedding...

I agree totally with this! I purchased a set for DS's nursery and never used the diaper stacker, toy holder to hang on the wall, quilt, or mobile. I ended up using the bumper, valance, bed skirt, and crib sheet. With this pregnancy, I've asked my aunt if she'd make things for us and she agreed. I just plan on finding a fabric/pattern I like and go with it.

I think mine could be gender neutral if I didn't have the touches of pink. Green walls with black & white damask bedding:
