Crib bumpers question

I know that bumpers aren't recommended anymore but now that DS is getting bigger and squirmier when I go to get him out of his crib in the morning he is often lying side to side in the crib with his feet pushed up against or out of the slats.  I'm not really afraid that he will hurt himself but more that it'll start to wake him in the night if he gets a foot stuck or something.  Any suggestions? Thanks!

Re: Crib bumpers question

  • Once Eli was able to rollover we used bumpers, until he got to pushing up/standing on them.  One option is the breathable ones.

  • We used breathable bumpers for that very reason.  DD is a wiggle worm and all over the crib at night.  They've worked great so far.

  • Thanks ladies! I think I'll look in to those.  I swear I'm going to video tape him one night just to see how he manages to do a 360 and go from one end of the crib to the other..while swaddled...it's got to be a workout :)

We use those same ones. Alex would do the same thing, and turn himself around by pushing against the slats. They've worked good for us so far.
