Re: Crackerssss!!!
Thanks, I'm scared of cheese cuz I was lactose intolerant (but with this pregnancy who knows).. but will try cheese...
Just the thought of saltines is still enough to turn my stomach. I've given up on crackers for the time being.
The few times I"ve gotten up and needed to eat in the middle of the night I've grabbed some pumpkin oatmeal cookies my mom made out of my freezer. They held me over till morning. I figure as long as I stick to "good cookies" its fine.
It's not crackers, but for me what works is to snack. I have an endless supply of cereal. Corn Flakes, Rice Krispies, Apple Jacks, Fiber One, Cocoa Pebbles, Frosted Mini Wheats, Raisin Bran...
Essentially sugar carriers disguised as healthy foods, but they definitely temper my hunger and my potential to get dizzy.
Hrm...what about goldfish crackers, pita chips(they're baked, but have a different texture/crunch to crackers, and come in a number of flavors), ginger snaps(if there's a World Market near you, they have the BEST ginger snaps--actual bits of crystallized ginger in 'em, so they do double-duty when it comes to nausea), granola...
The prenatal nurse at my OB's office suggested keeping peanut butter sandwich-crackers near the bed, because they have protein, too(and both peanuts and tree-nuts are good as appetite suppressants...it's why airlines serve peanuts to their hungry passengers, so they don't have to spring for meals). I actually keep a tiny baggie of honey-roasted peanuts in my purse for emergencies for the same reason, and they get MUCH less crumbly than the packets of crackers I've gotten from restaurants to keep in my purse.
Thanks ladies, great tips I'll def try them.
@T3hKay, I only started eating meat again last week and it depends on how its cooked! I can't stand chicken and I could before.. Between week 4 and 11 I couldn't eat chicken or meat! So worry not, I'm sure you'll be okay with meat soon.
