XP: Rowan has arrived via induction- short birth story inside

I was originally due 11/22, but my OB set me up for induction Saturday because she was on call and they thought she was going to be a big baby.  

I went in at 7:30, got set up and got a bag of fluid at 8, at 8:30 my OB broke my water. Contractions started on their own after that, but I was given a small dose of pitocin at 9-9:30.  I opted to get an epi at 10:30 and was ready to push by 4:15.  Pushing was the worst part for me- ugh!  Rowan Karolina ended up coming at 5:34 P.M. and was 7 lbs, 6 ounces, 19 3/4 inches long.  She was checked out this morning and seems perfect!  :)  I was nervous after hearing so many terrible induction stories, but it wasn't so bad!

    Thanks so much for your story!  you hear so many nightmare inductions on here, I was so hoping not to have to get one!  But thanks!  Congrats and so happy you have a new  healthy baby!
