Anyone have a Powerwheel for their LO?

MIL wants to get DS a powerwheel for Hannukah this year. Its one of those little ones, perfect size for DS but I never thought of him having one of these. I read the reviews and it seems like fun but wanted to see what you all had to say about them...

  • LO has two and they are his favorite toys. I highly recommend them :)

  • I had a barbie powerwheel growing up.  All the kids in the neighborhood loved it.  So much so that my older sister and her friends went on it and exceeded the weight limit and they broke it.

  • Here's one of the ones we have. I recommend it (the other is a little quad that he loves to ride, too). I like this one better, though, because of the removable yellow bar. If the bar is in, you can steer/push your child in the car. We use it both ways. Most of the time, he just pushes the button and rides alone. But when he gets stuck or heads the wrong way, I use the handle to guide him back to the right path.

  • Here's a pic of LO enjoying his and below that is a video of him on the little quad thing he has. And yes, he wears a helmet if anyone is wondering.

  • I definitely want to get one for C, since his birthday is in April I will get it then - so he can use it outside when the weather is warm again

  • we have a car that functions like a power wheel but you also have the option to control it with a remote control.  my kids cant do the pedal/steer yet so the reomote control is a good option.

  • We have one that's a hand-me-down from some neighbors.  It's FP Little People brand and just looks like a red/blue/yellow racecar.  It has a parent handle on it.  I actually took the battery out of it for now and DS still has a lot of fun.  We'll probably upgrade to a Lightning McQueen or John Deere one for his 2nd birthday.  He loves anything with wheels!
