(board is a little slow, trying to find something to talk about, lol)
When are you and your man going to start discussing baby names? Have you started now, or waiting until after first tri? Or are you waiting until you find out the gender?
Ps. Won't it be awesome when we start getting posts on this board saying "it's a girl!" or "it's a boy!".
And sorry if this is a lame post... I am so bored and DH is working, bleh.
Re: That's right.. baby names!
I can't wait until the end of January, but even more so to find out that LO is healthy and whole!
DH and I had trouble deciding with DS. I finally left it up to him, but we didn't decide on DS's name until after he was born. DH said Isaac? And I agreed, lol.
That said we have a whole list of names if LO is another DS, with two front runner's - including the runner up for DS - but only one name if LO is a DD. Our name discussions are pretty boring because we're so much on the same page. We'll continue on the Hebrew trend.
I have a few in my head, I have had these in mind since before we got married, but we really haven't started discussing since the BFP.
We are going to have a tough time agreeing I think though, because I like more modern names, and DH likes very traditional names. I love Raelynn Cora for a girl (I've seen it at work a few times) because my middle name is Lynn, MILs middle name is Rae, and Cora was my great-grandma's name that my mom always wanted to use but didn't get to. Anyways, DH says it sounds like I made it up. So we'll see, and I'm sure we'll change our minds a million times between now and July!!
I feel strongly that it is a boy, mainly because that is what the Chinese Gender chart says. I really like Lucas for boys name. I did like Preston but our friends in TX named there baby boy that in May. I just keep going back to Lucas.
For girls names..well I would rather not share those
I have a few cute ones in mind!
Yes! Can't wait to find out what we're having so we can decide on the names for sure. But we have long lists (more for girls). With DS we had many more girls names too, there are so many more we both agree on. Looking back at our lists from the first time around, there are about 4 or 5 names we had as other choices that friends ended up using, which is kind of funny...but we do like some of the same ones from our original lists, and we've also added a few new ones
Can't wait til we all announce "boy" or Girl"

our names are pretty much decided... still not 100% sure if we are finding out the sex, but either way will share the names. As ridiculous as it sounds, I'd like to call "dibs" on them - I know my friends back up names and would never dream of using them, so I'm not afraid of someone "stealing"... it'd be pathetic if they did.
The boy's name is common so I'm not at all concerned about that, but the girl's name I want, I've "lost" a lot of other names in the last few years, I dont want to start the process over LOL...

hm, my husband and I want our children to have strong names. Before we got married we decided on Isaac for a boy. I once had a dream that we had a baby boy and his name was Isaac. As for girls, I like the name Jayleen, but it doesn't sound "strong" lol
We haven't discussed names since, I think we're still in shock that we're pregnant and getting used to my mood swings and sickness. Don't really have time to focus on anything else right now.
"The LORD is my shepherd, I lack nothing." Psalm 23:1
We have had a boy name picked out since before the BFP, and don't have a single girl name. What amuses me is that the first time around we settled on a girl name long before our first sono, and didn't have a single boy name picked out. Does this mean we're having a boy? ;-)
I like traditional names that fit and 80 year old in a nursing home. Thats the theory my parents used for us and I like it. All of these names have family signifigance except one
But my boys names are:
Robert James, Everett Matthew (<--this one), and I would like to use the name Cole as a middle name as a tribute to DH's 16 year old nephew (he is such a sweet kid)
And Girls: I only have Cady Jane but DH says its homely and I dont see it as a name of a professional women
But we wont decide until later on
Carter James
I really like Bianca, Hayden and Addison(call her Addy). I think one of our distant friends named there baby girl Hayden so we can't pick that and hubby doesn;t like Bianca or Addison. I think Addison is too common for us.
We've had our names picked even before our BFP. :]
(In my siggy below)
This is our second child. So we already have a few rules so to say, one being, we are finding out what we are having but we are keeping it a complete secret until the baby is born. We have some a few names picked out Meghan Hope and Joshua Steven. I also like Liam Michael (I saw this in a pp post and was shocked to see someone else have the same combo) but DH doesn't LOVE it.

PROJECT BALANCING ACT: BIO and BLOG- yeah... needs to be updated.
We started discussing names right after the BFP. Since we had only one boy name, I thought it would take us a while to get some more options. So far, we have:
Jackson Lee or Preston Connor
Charlotte Elizabeth or Natalie Antoinette
Before we found out I was pregnant, we had decided on names (or at least we thought so...). Now that it's the "real deal" we've been flip flopping all over the place!!! I love family names and luckily I really like his grandfather's name if he's a boy and love my mother's name if she's a girl.
Boy - Jullian (Grandfather's name) no middle name yet, not sure what would go with it.
Girl - Olivia Isabel (Olivia's a dear family friend and Isabel's my mom's name<3)
But of course my "Chinese Calendar" says I'm going to have a boy so I may have to hold off on my little girl's name for a while
We have pretty much decided on names. Although if the baby does not look like the names we have picked out we are in trouble!
Boy- Alexander James
Girl- Lorelai Marie
We want the middle name to be a family name so James is my fathers/brothers and Marie is my middle name.
We have a bit, just tossing them around. It gets more "real" once you have your anatomy scan
that's when the real debate began with us. Even though we aren't "team green" we always have at least 2 back up opposite sex names in case the baby was hiding something, lol.
Last time we could not agree on boy names AT ALL so we were so relieved to see a "hamburger" instead of a "hotdog" lol. This time we are not seeing eye to eye on names yet again. Luckily we get another 33 weeks or so

We casually talked about baby names while we were TTC, but now that we're pregnant...it hasn't really come up. I think we'd rather wait a little longer before we really get serious about it. We do know that our child will have a traditional name though; neither of us are fans of modern names.
We will be sharing the gender of the baby with family/friends once we find out, but we're going to keep the name to ourselves until he/she is born.
I, too, am looking forward to the days when all the Team Green ladies on here start announcing "It's a..."!!
We have a girl name Chloe Marline (mar-lean), the middle name is my mom and gma's name combined, Marcia & Lurline.
We are stuck on the boys name. He may end up being a Jr. but we are trying to stay away from it. We just can't think of a boy name we like as much as Sinclair. Liam is a close 2nd.

We have had our boy name picked out for as long as I can remember, Davis with a possible mn of Henrik. For a girl we can't decide but my current faves are Isabel or Violet, no mn picked out yet.
I love that we actually can be real about this now, I've been dreaming about naming and all that other fun pregnancy stuff since I was a little girl.

I also love Charlotte and Lorelei --- it's going to be quite difficult for me to pick out a girls name!

this is our second LO....this time around we cannot agree on a boy's name.
We are not disclosing our names...and will really wind down the name list after we find out in 14 weeks (hopefully).
Our boys name is Ethan Patrick. That is set in stone...a done deal.
For girls we have a looong list including McKayla, Madeline, Peyton, Hannah, Leah, Autumn, Harper, Abigail, Charlotte and Sarah
We've had a boy name picked out for 7 years now (which was when I was pregnant with my 1st daughter)
Caden James (call him Cade)
Since we have 2 girls I am running out of names. We have an Ella Elizabeth and Avery Ann. So I hope it is a boy and we don't have to spend the remainder of the pregnancy picking out a girl name.

We have a couple of names that we like a lot. But we'll hear names and throw it out there to see what the other one thinks. We have nothing definite and know that we have 7mths3wks until we absolutely need a solid name.
Holy crap! 7months and 3weeks left!! When you think of "Oh I'm only 7wks2days today... There's still like 8-9mths left..." and then actually look at it and go "Oh crap! 7mths left!!!"
If we're having a boy, it's def. going to be Dexter Harry (after my grandfather).
For a girl, we like Annabeth, but no MN yet.
We'll have to see. We were so sure that my DD was going to be Callie for the longest time, but one day we just changed our minds!
