Dessert-only Thanksgiving?

I'm thisclose to doing one, with all the recipes I've found lately.

I tried my hand at apple dumplings for the first time, and they rocked. DH wants them on the T-day menu.

I just found a recipe for a Ghirardelli 3-chocolate pie. Oh yeah.

DH loves pumpkin pie, and pumpkin cheesecake even better.

I want to make a pecan pie, even though I never have.

And I found a link to a chocolate orange layer cake that's more appropriate for Halloween, but I don't think anyone in my family would care.

Screw the turkey. Bring on the dessert!

    I am seriously sugar crashing just reading this.  lol
    11/10: IUI #1 =100mg Clomid CD4-8 + pregnyl trigger + IUI = chemical pregnancy
    1/11: IUI #2 = 5mg Femara + trigger + IUI = BFN
    2/11: IUI #3 = injectibles + trigger + IUI = BFN
    IVF #1 April 2011 ER 4/23 w/16 eggs retrieved, 14 mature, 11 fert., 4 blasts to freeze, 5dt of 2 blasts on 4/28, beta #1 5/7 = 243... beta #2 5/9 = 491....beta #3 5/11 = 1113!!

    TTC #2, Operative hysteroscopy March 2011; IVF #1 long lupron protocol April 2011-cancelled due to poor response; IVF #2 flare protocol May 2011=hospitalization due to abdominal hemorrhage during ER and no fert due to MFI issues. Moving onto international adoption from Moldova January 2013!

    i'm bored and lurking, but just wanted to say growing up with thanksgiving at gmas house. The pies (and all other desserts) where cut into at 9-10 am, And then the meal was at 3-4 pm. So until then we all just ate pie for apptizers. Then have  a small meal, and then have more pie for dessert.

    Yum!  I wanted to do something different, but DH is stuck on pumpkin pie (my least favorite), so I am probably just going to buy one.  Might do some pumpkin choc chip cookies though.  Or just brownies...brownies are always good.

    This also reminds me of the Thanksgiving where we spent breakfast with my dad and dinner with my mom.  Dad got a HUGE turkey shaped cake for breakfast.  i do not remember the dinner, but boy do I remember that cake!
