I am an idiot.

So, now that everything's almost settled down, Turkey Day's coming and we're having a couple of friends with their little girl over, I decide to help a friend in need.

His petsitter fell through and he needed someone to watch his DOG for 9 days over Thanksgiving.  He's in SF, so the dog is coming to our house to stay.  He's one of my very oldest friends, and never asks for anything.  The cats are going to kill me in my sleep, I just know it.  Gnuh.

    LOL! Amy why do you need to keep the dog at your house just take care of it at your friend's house go over twice a day to feed and walk it (and a midday walk if the dog is older or has special needs.)

    Oh gosh! That's a bit of a drive.

    On the other hand, we can have lunch while you are in SF. Best to make the drive here worth it. Some good playgrounds here.

    Oof! That's a tough one for the kitties, but they'll get over it. Just make sure there are some isolated shelves, cupboards or boxes for them to hide in.

    Whoops, I didn't see the part about him being in SF, guess that is kinda far from Petaluma. Hope his dog is cat-friendly! I'm sure you'll be fine and Margaux will love it.

    Hopefully Margaux will love the doggie and it will make the rest of the potential nightmare worth it.

    Definitely give the kitties a "save haven."  Hopefully they won't retaliate on your bed, laundry, floor, etc.

    oy. that would be terrible!!! My cat, Snickelfritz (RIP), did that when i fostered two other cats. I am still mad about that!
