I could use some hugs

I just found out that SIL has decided to get back with her ex (nephew's father).  She is taking Nephew and visiting him in BC for Christmas,and then they are moving back in the Spring.

I know I shouldn't feel this way but I am really upset.  I feel like she is taking my little man away from me.  DH and I have been such a big part of Nephew's life.  We have him at least a weekend a month, usually it is every other weekend.  Nephew's father hasn't seen him in at least a year and a half.

I am terrified that once she moves back to B.C.  we will never get to see our nephew.  I'm not even sure where nephew's father lives.  I know it is on a reserve and it is fairly difficult to get to. 

Sorry for rambling, it's hard to think straight.

    Oh, I am so sorry to hear this.

    Do you think they will let you keep your nephew a few weeks during the summer?

    That is hard. I know you and your DH have been a pretty strong constant in his life, and it will be hard for all of you.

    I am hoping that it will be possible for him to come stay with us during the summer.  It is all dependant on SIL.  SIL is very two faced, she will act super nice, but only when she wants something.  Other times she will talk behind your back and whine or lose her temper if you don't agree with her.

    ETA: I meant to quote Iowa, oops.

    Also:  Thank you ladies, the hugs and encouragement are very much appreciated.

    Sorry I'm late to the game Joani, but I am very sorry you are having to worry about this! I am very attached to my niece and couldn't imagine if my sister moved away with her. I hope that the time goes quickly and that you are able to see him frequently. {hugs}
