Hi Ladies!
Ethan's baptism will be Dec. 5th and I haven't planned much since I haven't had much time. I already sent out invites and bought these very pretty murano glass crosses as favors. https://www.pricewisefavors.com/murano-art-deco-collection-glass-cross-p-10870.html
Any ideas on catering, "fine china" (paper plates, etc lol), and where to get small tags for the favors so I can put his name and date and if I have room the parents/godparents names? Also, I am planning in using Big E's baptism outfit but Baby E may be a bit chunkier so I have to keep my eyes open to possibly having to buy another outfit..ideas on this just in case?
The reception will be in my parents backyard so we will be renting tables/chairs as well. Any other cute decoration ideas will be greatly appreciated...my mind is all over the place and I have 2 weeks to get all this done. Thanks a lot!

Re: Baptism ideas
How exciting and God Bless... We are also planning the Baptism of our God Daughter... As a back up you can always go to La Ideal Baby Store they have a website, and two location (Hialeah & Pembroke Pines)...
As for the favor tags, they are really easy to make yourself using word... I also create tags myself I dont like to promote in here at all but if your interested let me know...but again they are relatively easy to make in word, punch a hole add a ribbon an voila! lol
As for plate, I think I have seen Costco sell a form of plastic plates and utensils as to imitate actual china that looks pretty cool...check it out...
As for decorations, for my sons baptism what I did was spread photo frames of him throughout the party and vases with white and light blue hydrangeas...it looked amazing...simply but elegant... Good Luck, by the way Loved the crosses you ordered....

I love party planning! : )
As for catering, not sure your budget. For a more budget friendly option, you can't go wrong with Italian. I'd say pasta platters (ie, baked ziti) from Big Cheese or the like, with a tray of salad and garlic bread, and you are set! You can get chafing dishes cheap at Costco to help keep the pasta warm.
For something fancier, my family uses Maggies Kitchen 2 U and she's very reliable! She offers an array of menu options at different price points as well. She offers complete catering, including food, servers, bartenders, chair/table rentals, as well as china/glasses rental (but you can choose what you want). 305-772 8001 or 305-253-9237. My personal favorite of hers is the Martini Mash.
As for "recordatorios" there is a place off of Flagler and 67 Ave (I think) that you can order them from... my mom always used them for my sisters and mines events. I believe Jen (British) has gone before and can maybe help w/ the name of the place.
As for purchasing another gown, the only place that comes to mine is Ideal Baby.
As for "decor" for SIL's shower, we placed a simple orchid as the center piece at each table and IMO it came out very nice and classy! As to not have to purchase a vase to cover the plastic bottoms, we used colored selophane and tied it with a ribbon!

A lot of the chain restaurants have catering menu's. Macaroni Grill & The Cheesecake Factory have party platers. Delivery and To Go has a catering section and they will bring the food to you. https://www.deliveryandtogo.com/default.asp Party City has some cute Baptism things. You could just make everything white and hand white paper lanterns in the backyard. Also, check out Chan's Silk Flowers Inc 5280 NW 72nd Avenue for decorations.
Our baptism is the Nov 27th and I am having the luncehon at a restaurant. I had my wedding dress made into a traditional baptism gown. I am struggling to find something for him to wear after the ceremony. I was planning on checking out La Ideal at International Mall to see if they have anything
