Hey gals, not sure if I'm going to make this clear as mud... but here goes.
We have DS in this tub with the cradle insert (so he's reclined). He does great in it but it's waaay too small now. He's just an enormous baby! BUT, to fill the whole 'normal' fullsize tub and use the cradle insert seems silly. Is that the only option for this random, in between stage?
He does not sit unassisted yet.
Thanks.
Re: Tub transition - too big, yet too small? I'm confused.

we got this for DS about the same age your DS is now.. we still use it even now that he sits unassisted.. it keeps him in place and he really loves it.
We have this tub for DS, and it is wonderful! DS loves it!

kate930 - no, it doesn't have a reclining side. Do you mean if I flip it over does it have a built in 'cradle' recling side? It's a pretty standard, boring tub.
renee - that looks pretty cool! Unfortunately, big man is already up around 23ish pounds so with the way he's growing, we'll hit the max weight of 28 lbs too soon to get our money out of it
reagan - we were given the munchkin duck tub which has similar dimensions to your tub. It's smaller than our current one! So it doesn't work either (maybe it will when he can sit up, but for now he has to be able to stretch those long legs out/lay down)

Yup! This is a great product. I highly recommend.
One end of my tub is straight and one is slanted so she could lean back. https://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2403667
She would flip out of it really early on so we've barely used a tub. Using your bathtub with a towel on the bottom really works well. Or you can get this thing - https://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3618616
M still won't sit up in the tub, but we now bath her sitting in the kitchen sink.
We use this, and Liam is a LARGE baby. I think when he does outgrow it, he will be sitting up on his own in the regular tub.
Okay so last poster....
She lays in the tub with NOTHING under her?
I'm a freak apparently and I'm super concerned about water in his ears. I would assume if your baby lays flat (not reclined/cradled) in the tub it's water near her ears, right? Or am I not understanding?
DS loves his bath, but I'm super protective of those little ears. I'm a worrywart though
