Anyone else having this problem???

Ive been seeing spots off and on for a month now. I really think it has something to do with my blood pressure. Which has been abnormal also for the last month. I usually have really low BP but lately the lowest its been is 120/86 which i know is normal for most people but me. The highest it has been is 140/90. I am concerned about this considering I know these can be symptoms of Pre-E. Ive been drinking a lot more water and trying to watch all my food intake...but the spots have been getting worst. Anyone know anything about this ....

  • When I had pre-E, my pressure was 190/110.  140 on top is still considered good. 90 on the bottom is getting up there, but I don't think the combo is high enough for you to be seeing spots... I could be wrong, but 140/90 was a fantastic day for me last pregnancy.

  • Could be an optical migraine.....just like it sounds, a migraine in your eyes. I was getting them before, so I tried drinking a dr. pepper, and it went away when I was like half way through the can! So I have been allowing myself to have a can once a day to keep them away and it seems to be working. I think mine were caffeine withdraw related. Wouldn't hurt to give it a shot.

  • How is your blood sugar? At one point a few years ago I had elevated blood sugar and that was one of the things the dr asked me about. Apparently it can be a sign of diabetes. GL
  • Go see your Dr. about it!  My friend gets severe migraines when she's pregnant and with her first pregnancy she had a stroke in her eye and now has a permanent spot where she can't see (nothing major, but still took awhile to adjust to)
  • When I had pre-e my bp was super high too.... But sometimes I know pregnancy can just mess with your eyesight. I have those wierd spots too, so I went to the eye doctor last tuesday, he said everything looked pretty well normal but suggested I still get glasses for reading, computer work, driving anything that takes me to really focus. He said that sometimes the hormon and various changes happening in your body can cause these kinds of changes. And I know I usually have low BP too, but so far mine has been normal.
