Daycare costs

I live in Florida but I'm from OP, KS.  I was just wondering how much full time daycare costs out there for infants?

Re: Daycare costs

  • $200 and up, depending upon where in the city you go.

  • DH and I considered places in KCMO and found the cheapest at $500/month (very, very cheap) for in-home daycare to about $1,000/month for a private facility for infants (up to 2 years).

  • Daycare is crazy expensive as I am quickly finding out! The cheapest I have seen is $550/month. I have no clue what we are going to do by losing that much income a month. This pregnancy was not planned so I am kind of freaking out! How are you all affording this huge cost??
  • Daycare is so expensive here that it ends up being cheaper for me to stay home.  It currently is $200 or so per week, but now that Lexie's Law is in effect, I wonder if it will become more expensive.

  • So glad I live in a small town... 75-100/week for center care (depending on where you go) and 25/day for home daycare is pretty normal.  Still a chunk of cash, but better than the 1000/month my sister pays in KC!!
