I was looking at DS's gums last night and noticed a small white dot on his lower front gums. I had been thinking that there's a chance he has started teething but also know the symptoms could be totally normal for his age and not teething. He drools so much (going through 2 bibs a day minimum), his sleep has recently been crazy at night (doesn't go more than a couple hours), chews on his hands constantly. I also read that a stuffy nose can be caused by teething. He has had one for weeks. All clear though. I couldn't get the best look at the dot because he was getting pretty irritated at me prying my fingers into his mouth so I didn't push his patience. Just wondering what kind of white spots do babies get on their gums while teething? Are they small generally? His looked to be about the size of a med ball point pen.
Re: White spot on gums??
sounds like a tooth. ps...oh my gosh your baby is so cute. i love the one of him in the hat!! i love that little face!
My LO has had 2 inclusion cysts. They are totally harmless, but are not teeth. Here is some info on it:
