Anyone else have this problem?

I finally started using Palmer's Cocoa Butter.  I now the whole stretchmark thing is genetic but I figured I'd take make chances and at least stay moisturized.  Anyhow, after applying it twice to my whole torso (if you know what I mean).  I am completely itchy.  I have sensitive skin but never thought I'd be allergic to this.

  • I haven't tried Palmer's but when I was deciding on a lotion I made sure it was one that was made of natural ingredients and not containing any parabins. The one I decided on  - Jerger's Naturals Total Nurishments has been awesome for my extremly dry skin, I even use it on my face (since the face cream I was using contains some ingredients I am not comfortable using while pregnant).

  • I've been using Palmer's Cocoa Butter for years and have started to use it to try to combat stretch marks, but I've never had a reaction like that.  Idk if it's your skin or if it's your pregnant skin.  Maybe try something else?

  • I'm allergic to cocoa butter... it gives me a horrible, itchy rash.  Maybe you are allergic too!

  • I've been using this great oil by L'Occitane called Almonde Suplesse...you can get it at Sephora and on their website.  It's absolutely amazing and does wonders for stretch marks!  It's a little on the pricey side, BUT I've had the bottle for over a month, using it daily on BBB, and haven't even gone through 1/4 of the bottle....from reviews I've read, it lasts most people well over 4 months.  And the smell!!!  It's fantastic!!  And I have really uber sensitive skin and this stuff doesn't bother me at all.  Good luck finding something!

  • I had a horrible case of hives a few weeks ago, through the process of elimination I found Palmers to be the cause.  I haven't had any itching or hives since.  I switched to a regular genaric (i think up and up from target)coco butter and have had no problems.

Oh!  I love L'Occitane products.  I'll have to give it a try.  Thanks for the recommendation.
